The hexagonal TriAx (TX) geogrid is used for the stabilisation of aggregates for the construction of roads, working platforms and other trafficked areas. The geogrid’s design allows us to optimise fill interlock and confinement as well as better control the movement of aggregate particles. The uniaxial geogrids (RE) were developed by Tensar in the late 1980s and nowadays are applied worldwide. This geogrid is manufactured from high quality grades of HDPE. It is extremely durable and resistant to long-term chemical and biological degradation which makes RE geogrids suitable for the use in chemically aggressive environment and for earth retaining structures with a life cycle of up to 120 years.
The uniaxial geogrids can carry high tensile loads applied in one direction. The fill material interlocks in the open aperture structure safely which results in effective load transfer from the soil to the geogrid. The material has superior junction strength which provides high strength secure connections to other rolls of geogrid or facing elements. Invented by Tensar in the 1980s, this ground stabilization geogrid made construction over weak soils much easier. Since then, these geogrids have been used for mechanical ground stabilisation in a huge number of projects worldwide. This initial geogrid is used for the subbase stabilization of roads and railways, rail trackbed improvement, various base structures.
With decades of research, Tensar has developed more advanced geogrids which can offer even better value, decreasing the overall cost of a project. Since 2007 the TriAx geogrid has been used in projects all over the world, with the new generation Tensar InterAx geogrid coming next.

The block facing is securely connected to uniaxial geogrids reinforcing the fill material of the retaining wall. Geopanels - Welded Steel Mesh
The welded steel mesh system is a proved and cost-effective solution for slopes. The mesh is rigid and is held in place by the geogrid and fill material. The mesh units serve as face support during construction, so external formwork is not needed, and reliably maintains the designed slope shape during operation.
There is no requirement for an external face support or formwork, owing to the rigid steel mesh face being braced internally and held in place by the geogrid and fill material during construction. This system is used for capital structures, however, its low cost allows it to be used as a temporary engineering solution. A wide range of finishes can be used, including greensward and other landscaping.
